It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality;

that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable,

not in passionate lust like the heathen, who do not know God. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.”

Because our sexuality is a powerful part of how God has made us, it often becomes misdirected. Satan has perverted sex. Our sexuality is like a beautiful river, lovely as it flows within its banks, but it becomes a flood of destruction if it flows outside its bounds. In its God-designed place, sexual love is the most beautiful relationship on earth. Outside of marriage, sex is a sin. God calls us to purity of body, heart, and mind. Satan’s lie – He tells us that we must be in the “know”. We have often believed Satan’s lie, allowing his destruction into our minds. However, God calls us to innocence. Adultery starts in the heart. Flee from temptation just like Joseph. Consecrate and present our bodies to the Lord. But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: ‘Be holy, because I am holy’.
