BE THE CHANGE (FOUR KINDS OF GIVING 4)

‘Joseph opened up the storehouses and distributed grain…’ Genesis 41:56 NLT

During Joseph’s time as ruler of Egypt, the people were starving. Crops hadn’t grown, so trading stopped and a once-wealthy nation was brought to its knees.

Sound familiar?

Recession, unemployment, prices rising, and benefit payments falling. Sadly, you don’t have to look far to find good people struggling to feed their families for reasons beyond their control.

As a young man Joseph was foolish at times, but despite that he loved God and worked hard.

His life was a roller coaster of ups and downs, and through it all, he remained faithful to God, learned his lessons, used his gifts and ultimately God blessed him and his country through him.

God gave him wisdom to see the problems coming and a plan to save Egypt.

God wants to use you, too.

Greed has brought our nation to its knees and we need an antidote.

God is calling young people like you to model a new way of living, a new way of working, a new way of doing business and a new way of taking care of the lost, the last and the least.

If you’re coming out of a family or community hit hard by hopelessness, don’t lose sight of God.

He hasn’t lost sight of you, and hasn’t abandoned His hope for you.

What now?

Your church might know a place where you can get in touch with a donation drive. Whether they need you, or you need them, there’s a great ministry there.
